What's in a Name? Many photographers use their name as their studio name, because in essence we, the photographers, are the brand. So, why not just use my name? Well, quite simply, my name is difficult to pronounce and spell. I wanted something easier to search for and remember. After a lot of thought, I came up with And a Kiss!, and this is why: My little boy has always been very sweet. I'm not saying he's always a perfect angel, but he's very compassionate. He tries to console crying babies and gives hugs to other children when they get hurt or upset. And anytime we leave from family or friends, I tell him, "It's time to go, let's give hugs and kisses!" He happily obliges. However, if anyone should give him a hug and start to turn away, he reaches out towards them, and very sternly demands, "And a Kiss!" That simple phrase, that little moment, really captures his personality. And that is what I do in my photography. I capture those moments and expressions that truly portray the personality of my subjects.
