The whole family was truly a joy to work with.

Little Miss Caliegh wanted nothing to do with me or taking pictures when we began, as evidenced by my first shot.

But by the end, she was cheese-ing for me!

Some of the most unique and personal portraits are captured while just letting kids be kids.   I do pose people and make suggestions, but I do not constantly direct the action.  Kids (and even adults) do truly portrait worthy things when they think no one is looking.

This girl’s mother actually hand makes these tutus (and some other cute, crafty items), and wanted me to get a few portraits of her daughter wearing them.  She, of course, was a fabulous model!

Does it get any cuter?

Yep. He’s a goofball. But I love him!

It may have taken some time, patience, every prop in the studio and a handful of M&M’s, but this precious portrait was definitely worth it!
